NC4 to exhibit at Retail's Big Show in January
NC4 will travel to New York City's Jacob K. Javits Center in late January to
take part in Retail's Big Show, organized by the National Retail Federation. The event, with both a convention and an expo occurring concurrently in late January, offers those in the retail sphere a chance to connect with others in the industry, learn about a variety of business-enhancing strategies and tactics, investigate beneficial products and services and take advantage of many other opportunities. Based on the size and scope of the show, the NRF says the event is a one-stop shop for a wide variety of retailers from across the globe.
Major attractions and offerings
The wide variety of offerings at the Big Show means there's something for everyone, no matter if they're a small-business owner or large retail executive. With 52 percent of attendees working in senior management positions and both scheduled and unscheduled opportunities for networking and interaction, attendees can expand their horizons and gain valuable perspective. Informative sessions are organized based on certain themes and topics - along with keynote addresses from major retail industry players - and occur throughout the four-day period. The expo hall offers a variety of different systems, solutions, processes and technologies for the retail world, with many different wants and needs addressed by high-quality vendors, consultants and other businesses.
What NC4 will bring to the table
NC4's booth at Retail's Big Show will focus on risk visibility and boosting safety and security in the retail world. Retailers are growing, diversifying and expanding, entering new markets and increasing their physical footprints by opening new stores. This level of expansion unfortunately exposes retailers to more potential for a variety of risks, including natural and manmade disasters. Effective information is critical for retail businesses engaging in
crisis management efforts, whether the problems come from a major storm system, power outages or criminal or terrorist activity. The safety of both fixed assets and employees are critical concerns, and businesses that don't have an effective response system in place may have to deal with negative opinions and actions on the part of stakeholders.
NC4 Risk Center offers businesses the chance to develop a deep sense of risk visibility, with early warnings and granular information that provide far greater insight and time for preparation than news stories or dispatches from employees in the field. The threat and incident information provided by NC4 Risk Center is both comprehensive and global, providing critical data that allows business leaders to activate contingency plans and weigh potential courses of action with enough time to make sure staff and fixed assets are as safe as possible. With continual updates and strong visibility of potential incidents and disasters early on, retail businesses can better understand risk exposure and craft effective responses.
